I have been playing music for almost 8 years now. I grew up in a musical family and it has always been a part of me. From the moment I picked up my first guitar I have wanted to write songs. I have always had that drive in me to make each song better than the last one.
In high school I was in a band called My Friend Licorice. I was the drummer for that band, but I still had the opportunity to write songs for us as well. It was a wonderful experience as we became known in the local scene and put out an album.
Now in my fourth year of college I still write and have the opportunity to record and produce my own music. This is a wonderful venture that has allowed me to be creative in many different ways.
I have also developed a passion for leading worship. I am a member of the Worship Team at Hope College. We lead the students in worship 4 times a week. This has opened many, many doors for me. I have been able to travel around the country to lead worship at different events. It has even given me the opportunity to serve at many different churches.
I drive a gold, Mazda B2000 pick-up truck. My first car was a Honda Accord, but I smashed it up. My favorite sport is basketball. I like the Pistons, Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings (yes, I'm from Michigan!). I also like Yahtzee!!!
